Field Trip to the San Diego Botanic Gardens – World of Bromeliads
@ 9 am
Meet the designer of the exhibit, Rene Van Rems, & go on a guided tour.
The San Diego Botanic Gardens field trip is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 9:00am. If you are interested in going, you need to register online at https://www.sdbgarden.org. It is free for members, $18 for adults, and $12 for seniors (60+). Please let Liza Potocki know if you plan to attend since there will be a private tour afterwards and she needs numbers so that we have enough docents. Her email address is lizapotocki@hotmail.com.
We will meet in the conservatory at 9 am to enjoy the beautiful space that Rene Van Remes designed. Our tour will start at 9:30 am behind the conservatory in the amphitheater.
With a Mediterranean-type climate, practically frost-free winters, and warm summer temperatures, San Diego Botanic Garden has perhaps the mildest climate of any West coast public garden. The Garden’s 37 acres include more than 4,000 plant species and varieties, gardens representing 15 different regions of the world, 12 demonstration gardens, and natural habitat preserves.
